What are the Pregnancy Symptoms?

Are you pregnant? This is one of the most frequently asked questions by women from all corners of the world. More often you may never notice any symptoms until about the time, when you see that you’re missing your periods! When you notice this fact, there would have been a gap of around two weeks from the time of your supposed date of period. Another problem that bothers millions of women all over the world is the occurrence of irregular periods. If you’re not sure of your period and when you’re not keeping the track of your menstrual cycle, it becomes very difficult to know when exactly you’re going to get your next menstrual flow.

There are some vital signs and symptoms that will tell you that you’re pregnant, and these symptoms may occur in many combinations and more often depend on a woman’s body physiology and health status. You can use these indicators to check out whether you’re pregnant or not:

#1: Higher basal temperature in your body: One of the key indicators to tell your status of pregnancy is your basal temperature. If you have been keeping track of your body temperature and when you see a sudden spurt in your body temperature, it might signify that you’re pregnant.

#2: A missed period: If your periods don’t come on time, you may suspect that you’ve conceived. But, if the menstrual cycle is irregular and inconsistent, then you may need to check again and again, to ascertain your pregnancy.

#3: Frequent urination: Another key sign to tell that you’re pregnant is your urge to rush to bathroom to pass urine. During pregnancy, the amount of body fluids in the body increases which leads to extra fluid waste ejected by your kidney. This symptom may start as early as six weeks in your first trimester and it gets bad as you enter your second.

#4: Abdominal bloating: Pregnancy arrives with a bloating sensation in many women, which is almost similar to the one that happens during the premenstrual days.

#5: Nausea or vomiting: It is another classical symptom which may occur in almost all women. However, morning sickness, as it is called, may occur only after about 28 days after the conception. Some women may feel a bit uneasy a bit earlier. Nausea and vomiting can occur anytime in the day or night. This sign dies out by itself as a woman enters her second trimester.

#6: Bleeding and Spots: There are may be occurrences of small bleeding or appearance of spots around 12 days after conception. This happens as a result of fertilized egg burrowing itself deep into the blood rich lining of uterus walls. This may occur soon after six days into your pregnancy. The bleeding is often very light and may last a day or two. Severe bleeding lasting three days or more may indicate the onset of menstruation or premature abortion.

#7:  Fatigue and Weakness: You may start feeling stressed out or very weak soon after conception. It may last almost up to the end of first trimester. As you enter your second trimester, you’ll start feeling better and energetic. Another classical symptom of pregnancy is the urge to sleep throughout the day.

#8: Tender body and swollen breasts: Pregnancy symptoms may also include tender breasts due to increasing levels of pregnancy related hormones. As you step into your second trimester this feeling starts slowly diminishing all by it-self.

However, nothing is final and guaranteed until you test your body to check whether you’re really pregnant or not. If you suspect that you’re pregnant, you can use a home pregnancy test kit to ascertain the fact. You can consult your physician to know more about pregnancy tests and home kits. All the best to your pregnancy and have a happy day!
